Jeri Okamoto-Tanaka, J.D., M.Div. (she/her)
As a compassion-based Spiritual Companion centering women of color, queer women of color, transgender, and nonbinary folx, I invite us to bring kind and loving awareness to the sacred within and among us. I hold a Master of Divinity from the Claremont School of Theology and am a consecrated Deaconess in the United Methodist Church, ordained interfaith Animal Chaplain, and certified Spiritual Director, Mindfulness Meditation instructor, and Grief and Loss provider/educator (including adoption, mother loss, and animal companion loss). I delight in the power of story and serve as the Director of Spiritual Engagement, Compassion Care, and Justice Ministries at the West Los Angeles United Methodist Church, a progressive reconciling (LGBTQiA+ affirming) congregation founded by Japanese American immigrants.
