Sacred Listening/

Sacred Responding

Listening deeply. Responding wisely. Living compassionately.

Program Overview

In a time marked by upheaval, distrust, violence, and grief, many are called to deepen their grounding in the Mystery and to participate in the healing and transformation of our communities. Responding to suffering in meaningful ways requires cultivating the inner capacity to remain present, regulate our responses, and return to our deepest center — the Self.

This two-part online seminar explores the dynamic relationship between Sacred Listening and Sacred Responding as contemplative foundations for compassionate action. Participants will examine the personal, cultural, and systemic influences that shape perception, bias, and response, including the impact of social location and dominant cultural narratives.

Through guided contemplative practice, reflective dialogue, and communal discernment, participants will engage questions of identity, responsibility, and compassionate action in times of uncertainty. The seminar invites participants to consider how experiences of heartbreak and disruption may deepen spiritual awareness and expand our capacity for courageous, wise, and grounded response.

Rooted in contemplative wisdom and relational awareness, this program supports the integration of inner transformation and engaged presence in the world. Participants will strengthen their capacity to listen deeply, discern faithfully, and respond with humility, compassion, and integrity in the midst of complexity
