Ashley Plotnick, LCSW, MAJS, M.Ed.
Ashley Plotnick, LCSW, MAJS, M.Ed., is a psychotherapist, spiritual director, and Jewish educator. Ashley completed training in spiritual direction in 2014 and was subsequently a New Contemplative Fellow for Spiritual Directors International. In addition to her private practice, Ashley is now a mentor for the spiritual direction training programs at the Institute for Jewish Spirituality and the Center for Engaged Compassion. She recently completed training in compassion-based spiritual direction supervision through the CEC. Additionally, Ashley works regularly with clergy as a spiritually oriented counselor.
This Spring, Ashley plans to graduate from Claremont School of Theology with a Doctor of Ministry degree in contemplative practice, spiritual renewal, and strategic leadership, where her research focuses on the Shekhinah as the compassionate face of God. Her extensive training in mindfulness practice enables her to hold each person’s story with compassion and to meet them with presence. Ashley lives outside of Chicago with her husband and three children, her greatest loves and most important spiritual practice.
