CEC Receives Competitive $15,000 Reflective Leadership Grant!
The Center for Engaged Compassion (CEC) is honored to announce that Rev. Dr. Aizaiah Yong has been selected as a recipient of this year’s Reflective Leadership Grant from Leadership Education at Duke Divinity. Dr. Yong highlights that this grant “will help us to harvest the work of the Center for Engaged Compassion over the past 15 years and cast vision for the future of our work to promote compassion in the world.” Through the grant’s support, CEC will be able to deepen its commitment to fostering compassion and resilience, taking time to reflect on its journey while mapping new directions for its mission.
Leadership Education at Duke Divinity, a program funded by Lilly Endowment Inc., aims to support Christian leaders and organizations across the U.S. in cultivating transformative leadership. The Reflective Leadership Grant, which provides up to $15,000, enables leaders to step back from their day-to-day responsibilities and engage in structured reflection, gaining a broader perspective on their work, communities, and emerging trends. The grant aims to help the recipients enhance their leadership and adapt to the rapidly changing contexts in which they serve.
